Ways to Get Connected
A healthy, growing church is one where people are growing and serving and that is a key part of our mission here at Evangel in leading people to experiencing God and loving others. You'll find a variety of ways for you to get connected here at Evangel below grouped by area of ministry at the church.

Depending on the area you are interested in serving in, there may be a requirement for a background check (Evangel Kids, nursery, YoungLife) or time having attended Evangel before joining the team (worship, small group leader, etc.)
Next Generation
World Changers // Sunday Morning
Info: Help during Kids Church - assist parents with check-in, engage with kids before & after service with games, during worship & lesson, and help with other activities
When: Sunday mornings during 8:30 & 10 AM services
Frog Pond Volunteer
Info: Care for the little ones birth to age 4 in the nursery during services
When: Sundays during 8:30 or 10 AM service
World Changers // Wednesday Night
Info: Same as Sunday mornings - Kids start in the chapel on Wednesday nights for worship & then downstairs afterwards
When: Wednesday nights from 6:30 - 7:45 PM
YoungLife Adult Leader
Info: Serve in YoungLife and assist in various areas of the service - setup before service, check- in, run the cafe, photography, chaperoning occasional activities outside of Evangel - and serving as a mentor/leader in students' lives
When: Wednesday nights: 5:00/6:00 until ~8:00 PM
Tech & Visuals
Tech Team (camera, ProPresenter, sound, switcher)
Info: Operate camera switcher, ProPresenter (worship lyrics, sermon slides, and media displays), sound board, and live stream feed and audio
When: Sunday mornings: 8:30 & 10 AM services (rehearsal: Wednesdays at 8:15 PM); Wednesday night from 6:15 - 7:45 PM
Creative Team
Info: Assist with creative elements in the church including but not limited to decoration for holidays & events, brainstorming designs for the stage, and assist with creative planning
When: Varies
Media Team (videography, photography, web design)
Info: Take photos and video during services, serve days, worship nights, and other activities; assist with design ideas with the website

Church Building
Church Cleaning Volunteer
Info: Come during the week to clean various parts of the church: Vacuuming the chapel, cleaning bathrooms under the office, cleaning downstairs classrooms & Kids wing
When: Weekdays at various times depending on where the cleaning is being done
Building & Grounds Team Member
Info: Keep our church building & grounds looking beautiful & operating well in the following areas: Flower & garden maintenance, Snow removal ministry (plow truck drivers & shovelers), interior maintenance, and lawn mowing
When: Varies
Weekday Office Volunteer
Info: Assist in the office with various tasks such as answering phones, making copies, folding bulletins & cutting other handouts, and updating the calendar
When: Mondays & Thursday mornings
Service Volunteers
Red Carpet Team Member
Info: Be the first welcoming face to greet those coming to our church! Our Red Carpet Team serves in a variety of ways by holding the doors for people as they enter, handing out the bulletin or note sheet for the week, and greeting in the lobby. After service, they help people sign up for events or get connected for the first time.
When: Sundays for 8:30 or 10 AM service; Wednesday before 6:30 PM service
Security
Info: Keep the building secure during service by monitoring the building & the parking lot
When: Sundays for 8:30 or 10 AM service; Wednesday during 6:30 PM service
Worship team
Info: For those with a heart to lead others in worship! We are in need of instruments including but not limited to guitar (electric & acoustic), keys & synth, and bass
When: Sunday mornings: 8:30 & 10 AM services (rehearsal: Wednesday at 8:15 PM); monthly prayer & worship nights on Sunday nights (rehearsal: 4 PM, service: 6 PM)
Teams
Wonderfully Made (NEW)
Info: For those of all abilities, be a part of a ministry that serves those with physical and intellectual disabilities at regular gatherings.
When: Monthly on Saturdays from 10 AM - 12 PM
Evangel Cares Ministries (NEW)
Info: Serve people in our church and community through Meal Train to provide meals to families, give a card or phone call of encouragement, or make prayer visits to homebound or individuals in the hospital.
When: Varies
Men's Ministry volunteer
Info: Be a part of leading within the men's ministry or be a part of serving when conferences, Bible studies, and other men's events take place.
When: Sunday Bible study: 8:45-9:45 AM; Breakfast with the Bros: 1st & 3rd Tues from 8 - 9:30 AM
Women's Ministry volunteer
Info: Our women's ministry - Sisters Inspiring Sisters - is a place for women - married or single - to be a part of a community of sisters in Christ. Be a part of the team planning gatherings throughout the year.
When: Varies
Missions Team Member
Info: Team up with others in the church with a passion for missions - both locally & beyond - to plan Serve Day opportunities and ways to serve within our Milwaukee community and larger missions trips.
When: Varies
Team Leaders
These are areas of leading one of the above ministry areas. There is not a specific meeting time as scheduling volunteers, planning activities, leading Bible studies, setting up serving opportunities, etc. is done at various times.
Red Carpet Team Leader
Info: Schedule week-to-week Red Carpet Team, put together visitor bags, & lead Red Carpet Team. You are the one making our visitors & church family feel welcome & informed at church!
